TMS320C6713 DSK ANC-project: Coherence between two inputs (Error & Reference microphone)

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320C6416

Hi,

I am a fourth year student of polytechnic and I am currently working on my thesis. I have gone through the exercises presented in a book called "Digital signal processing and applications with theTMS320C6713 and TMS320C6416 DSK". So now I have some experience using the DSK kit. There is still a lot I don't know so that's why I am seeking help at this forum.

The topic pretty much explains the thing I'm working on currently. Here's a figure of the feedforward ANC principle:

One of the first steps of the work is determining the coherence between the two microphones. There is a study online with the same subject and there is a plot in it which looks like following:

I found some stuff on MathWorks website about Spectrum Analyzer and Transfer Function Estimator. They're part of DSP toolbox. I have access to MatLab and all the toolboxes.

But yeah basically I am asking here where to start, do I create a program with MatLab and somehow convert it into C language and drive it through the DSK kit. Or can the kit be connected through MatLab or only CCS? And is the above plot a plot from MatLab or CCS?

Ultimately I will be running a FxLMS algorithm or such in the DSP and hopefully will be observing a noise reduction at the location of the error microphone.

I hope this is right place to ask this kind of stuff but if it's not I would appreciate a lot if I were guided to the correct forum to approach with this matter.

Thank you a lot in advance,

Best regards,
Jukka
