TMS320DM648 - CUT9 compatibility with DDR2

Hello,

Is there a compatibility table of the TMS320DM648 with DDR2 devices? Our good old 256M DDR2 is EOL, so we ordered a new one, which is 1G. The PN for the new one is:

MT47H64M16NF-25E IT:M

The boot mode is SPI. I can see the 4 SPI lines toggling, but the chip does not boot up (the FW controlled LEDs don't toggle).

If I use the emulator, I am able to download the FW. It does not behave "normally"; I see it hang in some areas, but I can jump over those, and get it going....

What are your thoughts?

Hi Alin,
Have you checked the DDR compatibility between old and new DDR's PN ?
Use "memory browser" to modify the DDR contents through CCS IDE.

Hello Alin,

What is your good old 256M DDR2 part number ?

Have you changed the DDR2 configuration registers based on new 1G DDR2 part ?

The DM648 EVM also having Micron's MT47H64M16 part. So it should be compatible with DM648 device.
