TPS544C24 on K2E EVM

Dear whom may it concern,

I am making a custom board with 66AK2E05 processor from K2E EVM. K2E EVM uses TPS544C24 power converter, but it is not available.

The other thread on this forum says that uses TPS544C20 instead of TPS544C24 while TPS544C20 is not functionally compatible with TPS544C24. It also said that TPS544C25 is a functional compatible with TPS544C24, but it is a sample stage. I cannot find any information of TPS544C25. Can I get the sample of TPS544C25 or buy it?

I compared TPS544C20 to TPS544C24 on K2E schematic, and I found that pin 13, 30, and 39 has different pin name and function.

Is it possible to use a TPS544C20 instead of TPS544C24 without a modification on the circuit in K2E schematic? or should I modified the circuit based on the schematic of the TPS544C20 EVM?

I already read that post.

Please confirm that it is possible to use a TPS544C20 instead of TPS544C24 without a circuit modification.

The pin 13 of TPS544C24 is PGND while the pin 13 of TPS544C20 is AGNDSNS, the pin 30 of TPS544C24 is VSET while the pin 30 of TPS544C20 is BPEXT, and the pin 39 of TPS544C24 is SYNC/RESET# while pin 39 of TPS544C20 is MODE. Please confirm the TPS544C20 operates same as TPS544C24. I cannot compare the operation of TPS544C20 and TPS544C24 because I don't have a datasheet of TPS544C24.

Hi Jaehyun,
The parts are not functionally the same. If you are looking for a direct replacement without modification to the circuit, I can't confirm that the C20 will operate as needed. You will have to post this question on the E2E forum that supports the TPS power supplies for a more detailed response concerning the differences between the parts.
