Hi,
I'm using ,CCS Version: 6.1.0.00104 , tivac TM4C129, tirtos_tivac_2_10_01_38, ti-cgt-arm_5.2.3, xdctools_3_31_00_24_core.
I've an external 8Mega external RAM connected to the controller. and I've a problem creating a new section in this memory(using the .cmd file).
Whenever i create a new section with no type (.xram4 : > ESRAM_PART3) the code crashes before the main function.
I've to make it like this (.xram3 : {} type=NOINIT > ESRAM_PART3)
But i need to allocate some initialized variables in this section , so when i run the code it produces an error whenever it tryies to access the variables in this NOINIT section.
and here are the error displayed on the console
CORTEX_M4_0: GEL Output:
Memory Map Initialization Complete
CORTEX_M4_0: Can't Run Target CPU: (Error -1268 @ 0x1090001) Device is locked up in Hard Fault or in NMI. Reset the device, and retry the operation. If error persists, confirm configuration, power-cycle the board, and/or try more reliable JTAG settings (e.g. lower TCLK). (Emulation package 5.1.641.0)
is there any restrictions on creating initialized sections in external RAM ?
Some times the code runs correctly , but when i disable the power from the board and connect it again the code dose not work correctly , and it crashes at the same line (whenever it tryies to access the variables in this NOINIT section). I'm printing on the serial port to know where it crashes exactly.
here are the .cmd file contents
