The gesture recognition with DSP algorithm

I am not sure whether gesture recognition can be implemented in c674x DSP's but i believe, MotoX implements recognition of gestures and voices through c55x DSP and MSP430F259 microcontrollers. To my knowlede, there are TI design reference page and other product resources available for this feature thereby, TI designs provide you to quickly evaluate & customize the systems and there are specifications available for the key system parameters from the TI reference design page below:

I know, C6748 DSP can be used for iris scan, machine vision, MRI, motion detection, radar defence, printer, currency counter, SDR, relay application and there are related end equipments on the same, but I am not sure of gesture recognition. For more info, please refer the C674x product page below:
