Question about errata Advisory 3.0.6 : PCIe: PCIESS Slave Port Bursts Must be 16-Byte Multiples and 16-Byte Boundary Aligned

Hi,

I am not clear on what exactly the Advisory means.

We have a board base on DM8148 and C66x processors. They are connected via PCIe.

DM8148 is the RC. C66x initiates DMA read/write to DM8148's memory.

In this configuration, can Advisory 3.0.6 cause a problem?

Hi Tamo,

This Advisory applies to all outbound read/write transfers through the PCIESS Slave port. Inbound transfers use the PCIESS master port and are not affected by this Advisory.

So if your C66x DMA uses the PCIe slave port, this advisory applies. See also the below resources:
