There is not the rated value of PLLM / PLLOUT in case of 375MHz.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM1705

Hello champs,

Could you answer the following questions ?

This is from our customer, KTL Inc.

There is not  the rated  value of PLLM / PLLOUT in case of  375MHz  in t he  am1705.pdf (SPRS657).

The couatomer wants to know  the rated value of PLLM / PLLOUT in case of 375MHz.

Would you please help us on these question?

Best  Regards,

Akio, Sekine

  • Akio-san,

Can you elaborate on the question?  I do not understand what is meant by "rated value."  Is it that 375MHz is not a multiple of 24MHz or is there a range problem?

  • Tommy-san,

I'm sorry for not understanding the question well.

The data sheet of AM1705 is described that is supported 375/456MHz with Arm core.

I think that the table(P44)  of data sheet of AM1705 is incorrect.

The data sheet of AM1705 is described that the SYSCLK dividers cannot exceed 300 MHz.

Please teach me how to set 375/465MHz and send it to SYSCLK6 (Arm Clock) ?

Would you please reply on these questions ?

    Best Regards,

    Akio, Sekine

  • Akio-san,

I understand the problem now.  The comment on p44 is not correct.  This comment was carried over from a preliminary copy of the datasheet when the maximum operating frequency was originally 300MHz.  Since the AM17xx parts are going to support faster speeds, that statement needs to be changed.  I will request a document update.
