DM355 ATA

I am a new one ,Now ,I want to connet a ATA to the DM355, but I just know a little about the ATA, I have a question:

The DM355 doesn't support the ATA, so can I use the GPIO mode to control the ATA? If cann't , can you give me some help?

ATA means the hart disk.

DM355 does not have ATA peripheral. If your need is to store on a HDD could you consider using USB HDD?

Is the USB HDD's speed slower than the ATA?

Pl. refer to the data sheet that accompanies DM355 releases for usb MSC throughputs. Typically it should be between 8-12 MBps.
