Hi,

We have an application on ultrasound system,

I would like to know which device(OMAP35x, AM3517, other TI DSP) would fit to this application.

We are interested in AM3517 as it has advanced features compared to OMAP35x,

but trying to find out if only ARM could do all the DSP like processes or options like AM3517 + TI dsp would be better.

please let me know if somebody has any suggestions.

What is the processing you need? If it is standard audio/video/image algorithms that TI already provides in our codecs for the DSP in the AM3517, then that is probably the way to go. But, if you need to implement custom algorithms, it is usually faster to develop those on the ARM first and then port them to the DSP later, if better performance is needed.

Correction:

AM3517 does not have the DSP, so you would need the OMAP3530 for that.
