UART2 not working in Diva module

Hi,

We have a custom board with diva SOM . OS is linux.

The application requires UART (UART2). But we are unable to communicate with any device connected to the UART2.  I think /dev/ttyO2 is the file abstraction for this. When we do "echo test > /dev/ttyO2"  we are not getting anything on the other side.

Is there any extra pinmuxing required to make UART2 communicate with outside?

Regards,

Kiran G

  • Hi Kiran,

This SOM is a third-party product. We don't have access to the SOM schematics, therefore we can't say from which processor pins the UART2 signal have been routed out. There are quite a lot of possibilities, as you can see from Table 4-56 in the AN335X Datasheet Rev. G.
