Performance for Gigabit Ethernet in DM8168

Hi,

I am using DM8168 processor with EZSDK version of 5_05_02_00 and my Linux version is linux-2.6.37-psp04.04.00.01.

I want to know what is the typical through for the Gigabit Ethernet. I am using LSI-ET1011C phy device for Gigabit Ethernet.

I am getting the throughput of some 480Mbps for sending and getting some 200Mbps in receiving.

Please let me know max how we will get with this Gigabit Ethernet.

The latest benchmark/performance for DM816x Ethernet is with PSP 04.04.00.02 as below:

The benchmark/performance for the PSP4.04.00.01 that you are using is as below:
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../TI81XX_PSP_04.04.00.01_Feature_Performance_Guide

Note that there is Software overhead. And Linux OS also adds latency. You can try to improve these numbers with switching the Cortex-A8 ARM and DDR3 to highest frequency possible.
