I cant find the answer to this.
I know CCS is only running on Win PC.
TI advertises DM365 as supported by CCS.
Question: What part of DM365 firmware do I build using CCS, given I'll be running Linux as embedded OS?

Hi Roman,
DM365 or for that matter all DaVinci processors can either have Linux as an embedded OS running on them or can operate using CCS. Its your choice, which you would like to use.
Linux OS has the advantage of having open source drivers for most of the TI processors, while Code Composer Studio requires you to develop your own drivers, though Spectrum Digital does provide some drivers for their EVM. And yes, CCS comes at a price too, plus it requires you to have an emulator to emulate the DSP operation in CCS environment.
Hope this answers your question.

Sid
Could you elaborate on "can operate using CCS." that's the very point I am confused about.
Do I build on top some 3d party RTOS? Or I build my scheduler from scratch?
Will TI's Medifa Framework and Codec Engine will work without linux?
Do they come in RTSCes?
TI support was mostly unhelpful about this simple, I think, questions.
