Visual Studio hang after detach device

We build our own PCB with OMAP 3530, running WinCE 6 R3, we can download NK.bin through ethernet and get the debug information through KITL.

however, visual studio will hang after we clicked "detach device". anybody has clue?

Do you have a debug build or release build? We have observed Visual Studio crash when disconnecting device with debug build on the TI EVM. The root cause is not known (whether it is related to Visual Studio/Platform builder or with the BSP).

Is this a retail or a debug build. We've seen similar problems with debug builds (or when debug is enabled) only, retail should disconnect with no problems.

we use release build with KITL and debugger enabled.

Debug build has more problems.

I too would appreciate a solution to this.

VS2005 crashes consistently on four different host PCs when we select "Detach device" after a debugging session (nk debug build, KITL connection via LAN).

OMAP 3530 6.13.00 BSP on CE6.0 R3, host PC running XP SP3.

Just to follow up, the problem with VS2005 crashing after detach disappeared completely with BSP version 6.14.00.
