DM368 frame valid line valid

Hi!

We are working with DM368 and with aptina cmos image sensor,

How to refer to "frame valid" and "line valid" cmos image sensor output signals?

( DSP connections and signal definitions?)

Thanks

Avi

  • If I understand your queries correctly, you are trying to map frame/line valid signals in Image sensor schematic. (Please correct me if I am wrong, and state your requirement more precisely ). You can refere to VSYNC and HSYNC line for the same.
  • Hi!

    Thank you for reply

We are working with CMOS Sensor MT9P011

At the sensor module there are 2 outputs, frame valid line valid (according to the cmos sensor data sheet)

We are working with davinc'i DM365/DM368, at the DSP there are 2 inputs hsync and vsync,

We can get good frames from the sensor and can see good video,

But sometimes there is a problem with colors there is no colors,

Our Eng. says that the problem is unmatching signals (frame valid and line valid to hsync and vsync).

As you can see at the attached file the frame valid and line valid are "level"

And the hsync and vsync are "pulses"

    Regards

    Avi

  • Hi,

1: How is the clock supplied to the sensor ?

2: When you say no color in the image, apart from the color can you view the image  ?

    Cheers,

  • Hi!
    1. the clock supplied from DSP PWM output.
2.we can see a good video,in most of the times without colors.

  • Hello,

2.we can see a good video,in most of the times without colors.

When you say you can see the video properly without colors means, it has nothing to do with hsyc and vsyc signal mismatch because it has detected a valid frame.

    Cheers,
