Dear All,
since Micron DDR3 at 1.5V is considered a legacy product and it is not recomended for new designs I would like to replace DDR3 the 1.5V with a DDR3 1.35V in my AM335x design.
The design of DDR3 interface imitates the TMDSSK3358 design but I use the TPS65217C as PMIC. Now to use the 1.35V DDR3 in principle I have only to use the TPS65217D which outputs (VDCDC1) 1.35V instead of 1.5.
According to the other post in e2e the TPS51200 can support the 1.35V so the memory switch should involve the following changes (I use the TMDSSK3358 references for the nets):
MT41J128M16 -> MT41K128M16 (in my case for the DDR3 )
TPS65217C -> TPS65217D
VDDS_DDR 1,5V -> 1.35V
DDR_VREF 0.75V -> 0.675V
VTT_DDR 0.75V -> 0.675V
I don't see any problem but I would be sure, so I would ask whether my argument makes sense.
Thank you.
