Connected audio framework does not connect after USB cable detach

Hi,

I have compiled the connected audio framework 2.00.02.04 in CCS v6 with DSP/Bios 5.42. The program loads and execution starts as expected. But after I have detached and again attached the USB cable the recording does not work anymore. Windows 8.1 Recording devices control shows no signal to come through and the Sound Recorder generate a non-valid WMA file. This is not the case in the connected audio framework in the ROM in eZdsp5535 i.e. I can remove and attach the USB cable again and everything still works. I have kept the debug USB cable attached so the device is not powered down once the main USB cable is not connected.

Any suggestion how to get the compiled SW work like the one in the ROM? My plan is to develop the audio I/O device further but I'd like to start form a stabile basis.

As a hopefully temporary solution I can get the SW to work again after USB cable detach by suspend and restart actions in the CCS debugger.

    Hi Olli,

    In the connected audio framework, there is a timer driven polling function (every 50ms) which checks for the USB connection by checking the USB bus supply voltage. I think what happened is that when you leave the debug USB cable (for Emulator) on, the USB connection checking still think the USB cable (for data) is connected, because the voltage is on USB bus even though the USB cable (for data) is disconnected.

    If you can convert your newly generated OUT file into BIN file and copy it into the SD card (to replace the one in the SD card), it should run as the same as the original one.
