DM8107 EMAC Issue with LAN8700

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DM8107

Hello,

We are using TI's DaVinci DM8107 as SoC and LAN8700 as external ethernet PHY for our products.

We need to implement Emac functionality for the device, using the same PHY.

As if for now, we have try setting our PHY's register 0 as 100Mbps FD, 100Mbps HD and Auto Negotiation modes.

SoC's boot Mode priority is having EMAC at last.

We have done all set up for the EMAC boot mode selection.

While powering on the board, if the Auto negotiation is disabled, Ethernet link is not coming and we're not able to capture any Bootp packet for EMAC function.

If we keep the Ethernet mode in Auto Negotiation enabled mode, link is coming up yet there is no Bootp packet getting detected on Wireshark.

In either case, we are not able to receive Bootp broadcast packet for EMAC.

What can be the issue?? What are your suggestions to fix it?

Kindly revert back ASAP.

Regards,
