DVSDK 1.10 2.0 ? installation problem

Hi,

I install the software from DM6446 DVD on my host linux. It generates a data folder which is named "dvevm_1_10".

Now I want to install DVSDK, but the version problem drives me mad after finishing reading "DVSDK Getting Started Guide (SPRUEG8)" and "TMS320DM6446 DVEVM v2.0 Getting Started Guide(SPRUE66F)"

Is it right that I just install DVSDK 2.0 on top of dvevm_1_10 ?

Or should I upgrade montavista from 4.0 to 5.0 first and then install DVSDK 2.0 ?

Hello,

Yes, you should upgrade from MVL 4.0 to 5.0 and then install DVSDK 2.0. You don't need any of the old dvevm 1.10 software when you do this, you can remove it from your system.

Well , another question is what about the U-boot ? if I upgrade from MVL 4.0 to 5.0, do the U-boot should upgrade,too ?

Hi,

Yes, you should upgrade everything when moving to DVSDK 2.00 including u-boot.
