modifying AM335x StartKit to have nand flash

Hi everyone,

I am currently developing a new system based on AM335x StartKit which the schmatics can be found on here: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/AM335x_StarterKit_Board_Design_Files

From this design, I want to put a NAND flash memory and remove SD card part of the design.

Can anyone tell me how to make the interface between Am335x processor and NAND flash memory? I am planning to use K9F2G08U0M, nand flash ic which has 48 pins.

If there is any reference design regarding this issue, it will be really helpful for me.

Hi,

You can take a look at the AM335X GP EVM board files: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/AM335x_General_Purpose_EVM_Board_Design_Files This is a multiple board design, the NAND is located on the Daughterboard. The AM335X Technical Reference Manual Rev. L is also useful. Take a look at Table 7-5 and Figure 7-5. Section 26.1.7.4 discusses requirements for booting from NAND. Note especially Table 26-19.
