Image processing on DM6437

Hi !

We are evaluating DM6437 for an imaging project.  We are using CCS3

The application running must analyze images of approx. 400*500 pixels grayscale transferred to DDR RAM via DMA from HPI.

We want to use both IMGLIBs and VLIBs optimized algorithms. We have started out looking at and running the examples shipped with IMGLIB and VLIB and running these has been succesfull.

The examples though operates on images small enogh to fit into internal memory. We must do the performance measurement on external memory as our images are 200 KB.

- Is there other examples on how to do image processing in external memory using DMA on DM6437?

    I am also planning to work on including a simple DMA based project for processing larger images in the VLIB release.

    Thanks.  It seems though that the link is broken.

    It would be great to follow the progress in implementing an application using external memory to do image processing on larger images.

    So far I haven't been able to find any documentation or examples on how to schedule this so i appreciate if You could direct me to the correct link.

    Morten,

    The link seems to work here. I think it is not given access outside TI.

    If you have contact with an FAE, you can get access to it through them.

     

    In any case, if you want to learn to efficiently use the TI DMA, you can refer to the following link. There are examples provided for each method of operation of DMA. You can use these example CCS projects and plugin your application in the project.

    Am new to this dm6437 board,i did standard programs like led blinl using timers,switch ,audio loop back n video loop back but i want to do image processing...............
    hwo to store image in the board,which type of image it supports which means can we take image from mobile and store in the kit,then how to process it......................is there any code regarding to this.
