Uart is only printing, not taking input from keyboard

Hi,

I am using EVMK2H and going through getting started procedures. I was running linux on evmk2h. I am able to see the output on puTTy and teraTeram but when i try to provide it with some input , I doesn't take that input (No action occurs... nothing is working 'enter', 'space', 'esc' function keys and alphanumeric). Am i missing something. I am following this link.

Hi Rao,

Could you give more details about the hardware which you are using? Is it a custom board? Are you observer the problem on only one board and only one uart cable? I ask you this questions because I suspect that the receive line of uart could be interrupted but transmit seems correct. Therefore you have output on the console but you can not type anything.

No it is not custom board. I am using advantech EVMK2H. I have checked with 3 different serial to USB cables on two different workstations.

Hi,
Have you disabled the (no) hardware flow control in serial config setting ?
Tried on Linux (minicom) ?

If you tried in all the possible ways, contact the local TI FAE or contact from whom you got this board.

I've seen similar issues with K2H board, so suspect that it could be some hw issue on UART side.

no Shankari .. I switched to other uart port with USB mini cable .
