My customer is current using the AM3359ZCZD72 rev 1.0 silicon of the AM3359. I am told that the 720 MHz version is no longer available and that my customer will need to migrate to the revision 2.1 silicon. I am told that speeds for the revision 2.1 silicon are 300, 600, 800 and 1000 MHz. Though when I look at the revision H datasheet for the AM3359, it appears that the 800 MHz is the only choice for the AM3359.
Regardless, are there any board or software changes that need to be considering when migrating from the 720 MHz revision 1 silicon to the 800 MHz revision 2.1 silicon? Is there a migration document? Or can my customer expect to be able to drop in the new AM3359ZCZD80 and have it be form, fit and function the same as before?
