Hello,
I've been looking through the BOM supplied by TI on the website, and comparing it with the bill of materials that is generated in ORCAD, and I think I've come across a mistake.
On Page 17 in the USB-UART section, there are 2 x 4.75K 1% resistors. One has a reference designator as R16, and the other has no reference designator listed on the schematic. When I generate a bill of materials in ORCAD, the reference designator comes up as R1498. This doesn't quite seem right. R1498 is listed nowhere on the TI supplied bill of materials. I thought it might be listed under the other 4.75k resistors on the TI BOM, but all of the other part reference designators supplied on that line item are accounted for.
I'm asking because I'm not sure if this part is populated or not. It is listed in ORCAD as being populated, but it doesn't show up in the TI bill of materials. If it is populated, it theoretically should have a proper reference designator and appear on the TI bill of materials.
Any thoughts on what to do to clear this up are appreciated.
