Changes required to move from AM3359 720MHz to 800MHz processor

Hello,

What hardware and software changes need to be made to move from the discontinued AM3359 720MHz processor to the 800MHz processor? For example, do any registers need to be changed to keep the SDRAM frequency the same? Or is there a new version of the Linux OS needed to run on the new processor? Or is there a migration document on the subject?

Hi Larry,

The TI distributed Linux SDK should recognize the processor version and do this automatically. Which version are you using?

We are using version ti-sdk-am335x-06.00.00.00 for the AM335x Starter Kit. Our hardware was based on this kit and so we used the old WiFi module, which version 8 does not support. So if we update we loose WiFi functionality.

SDK 6.0 should support the new silicon revision too.
