pinmux for am335x

What is your u-boot version?

If it is earlier than: u-boot-2013.10-ti2013.12.01, than you can use the files directly. Have a look at this wiki: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Pin_Mux_Utility_for_ARM_MPU_Processors

If your u-boot is a later version, than you need to do the modifications manually in boart/ti/mux.c

Thanks for your reply, in the Makefile of the u-boot source directory, it sad the VERSION =2013, PATCHLEVEL=01 and SUBLEVEL=01. is this the u-boot version?
I glance over the wiki you gave, it sad that AM35x / AM37x / OMAP35x can directly use the files and others not, but my u-boot version seems earlier than u-boot-2013.10-ti2013.12.01.
So what should I do ?

Hi Jun,

Try following the steps described in the wiki link:

1) Replace the mux.h header file with the mux.h output file from Pin Mux Utility

2) Copy the pinmux.h output file from Pin Mux Utility into the directory containing the evm.h file.

3) Modify the original evm.h file, commenting out or deleting the original section of code that

   makes the pin mux programming macro calls.

4) Replace this code with #include "pinmux.h"

Also can you please share which SDK are you using?

In the software manifest, it says: U-Boot from https://git.ti.com/ti-u-boot/ti-u-boot/commits/ti-u-boot-2013.01.01-amsdk-06.00.00.00 

So files generated from pinmux tool should work; replace them directly in u-boot sources, as described above.

Thanks very much. But the device type in the table: Locations for U-Boot Linux Source Files didn't include am335x,
in the u-boot source there also has a mux.h at the location : arch/arm/include/asm/arch-am33xx/mux.h,
is this the right file I should replace?
