How to identify DSP TCI6488 at 1.2 GHz

Hello,

I'm working with DSP TCI6487 or TCI6488 according to the reference of our boards. Does it exist some registers inside the DSP to be read to determine :

- if DSP is 6487 or 6488

- if device speed max is 1 GHz or 1.2 GHz

If not, what is the software way to access to these nomenclature information ?

The goal is to be able to configure PLL registers to enjoy the max speed.

Thanks in advance for your support

Olivier

  • Support for these devices is generally not provided through the E2E forum, but through other contacts. You may want to contact the division of your company or board vendor which designed and built these boards to determine the appropriate contacts.

To the best of my knowledge, there is no mechanism for making the determination of which device type or which speed grade. From your datasheet and errata documents, you can figure out how to read the package markings and thereby determine how to program the devices appropriately.
