Using I2C bus in multi-thread

Hi Ti,

I am using dm8168 and DVRRDK v4.1

Is I2C bus in dm8168 platform thread safe? or it is necessary to use mutex for thread safe in multi-thread usage?

The I2C linux kernel driver is in the below files:

linux-kernel/arch/arm/mach-omap2/i2c.c

linux-kernel/arch/arm/plat-omap/i2c.c

linux-kernel/drivers/i2c/busses/i2c-omap.c

As I do not see any locks/mutex to be used by default, I assume you should implement them.
