Generation of low to high transition on Timer 4 to send SOC signal to ADC on AM335x

Hi,

I am configuring the ADC in the General purpose mode and want to use the HW step enable. I am using GP timer -4 as source of event to start the ADC scanning in continuous mode.

I have configured the " timer4" to generate interrupt at a particular rate. My question is how to send the Low to high transition from Timer 4 as mentioned in the user guide(spruh73k)

Does this low to high transition automatically occur when an overflow or match interrupt occur and an Timer 4 Event is sent to the TSC_ADC_SS ?

A quick question.

I want to use the Timer4 interrupt to occur for both overflow and match events. .Reading the Status register I can determine which interrupt occured. Now since the Timer 4 is also used for sending SOC timer event to the ADC . I want the SOC to occur on timer overflow.

How do we determine which interrupt caused the SOC timer event ?

If both Timer interrupts are enabled then both will trigger a SOC. There is no way for the ADC to differentiate between them.
