How do you set up an view a system log?

I'm using CCS 5.2.1 and DSP/BIOS 5.41.13.42 and a TMS320F2812. I'd like to setup and view the system log to troubleshoot some problems I'm having with SWIs and TSKs. I am connected w/ a spectrum digital c2000 emulator and can see the RTOS object viewer via CCS5. However the LOG view does not give any info (as shown below). Any sugestions?

Hi Robert,

What is the length of LOG set in your configuration?

/*
 * Sets the buffer length of LOG_system buffer
 */

bios.LOG_system.bufLen = 512;

Have you tried any of the standard examples and checked if the LOG module works in ROV? If it works, then can you compare your application configuration with the example configuration.

I set it to: bios.LOG_system.bufLen = 128;

Where are the standard examples located?

Hi Robert,

In CCS, the standard examples are part of the New Project Dialog. This dialog pops up when you create a new project. On selecting the device in the dialog, you should see the examples for the device populated in the bottom left part of the dialog.
