Hi Experts,

I am working on am335xevm which support com6m wl1271 wirreless module,

but i want to use usb wifi dongle for wireless connection.

At present i have DLINK DWA-131 wifi dongle and usb2.0 802.11n wifi dongle, which have Realtek and Ralink chip support.

is there any expert who can solve my problem ?

Hi Mohammed,

You will need to get the Linux drivers for respective chipsets from the manufacturers. The Linux SDK supports the USB interface only.

I got one cd with 802.11n wifi dongle it contents rtl8188C_8192C_usb_linux_v4.0.2_9000.20130911 drivers.

how to start with it.

Judging from the CD title this looks like driver for kernel v4.02. Current TI distributed Linux SDK is kernel v3.14.26. I don't think this will work. In any case you should contact the third-party manufacturer for support on this.

even i have rtl8188C_8192C_usb_linux_v3.4.4_4749.20120730 driver .
and i have kernel 3.14.26-g2489c02 on my sdk ,
cant we change the kernel , it will work.

and what is the procedure for it.

This forum supports only the official TI distributed Linux SDK. Current version is v3.14.26.

ok, which wifi dongle will be compatible with the official TI distributed Linux SDK. Current version is v3.14.26.

Please ask on the WLAN forum: https://e2e.ti.com/support/wireless_connectivity/f/307 Dongles with TI Chipsets WL18X will certainly be supported.
