Hello,

Can anyone suggest me an emulator which satisfies all my requirements below.

1- It should support DaVinci DM648 processor.

2- It should support versions of CCS right from CCS 3.3 to CCS 6.x (Latest)

3- It should work on Windows 7 64-bit based development system.

I think, you can use XDS510USB emulator.

Hi SP,

As Titus suggested , yes you can use XDS510 USB Emulator.

I am using CCS5.5 and it is working fine for me.

Operating system is windows 7 64-bit.

Hello Titus & Arvind,
Will the spectrum digital XDS510USB emulator work in CCS3.3 under Windows 7 64-bit environment? I know that TI doesn't support CCS3.3 under Windows 7. Could you please let me know the results if you or any of your customers have tried this? I have to make a purchase decision based on this?

I have been using CCS3.3 under Windows 7 64-bit with the XDS510USB emulator, with no problems. But this was with the TMS320F28xxx processors, also with OMAP-L138 briefly before going to CCS6. (I have not tried it with the DaVinci series.)

No question, just noticed the above question by SP and was trying to be helpful.
The USB510 JTAG emulator, CCS3.3, and Windows 7 worked for me without any problems.

Do you remember from where did you get the emulator driver for Win7?

I see emulator driver download for XDS510USB for CCS3.3 at

http://support.spectrumdigital.com/ccs33/

But the release notes tell me the OS supported as Win2000,XP & Vista..

Hope that you tried the same driver on WIn7 too and it worked for you..
