driver/spi/spi-omap2-mcspi.c driver issues relating to DMA

Hi ,

I am facing some issues in driver/spi/spi-omap2-mcspi.c driver file . My omap2_mcspi_tx_callback( ) is getting called correctly (Line No.375) after every transfer but while in reception my omap2_mcspi_rx_callback(void *data) is not getting called (LINE no .363) . So because it did not signal complete(&mcspi_dma->dma_rx_completion) present in rx_callback() the driver is keep on blocking on this wait_for_completion(&mcspi_dma->dma_rx_completion) (Line no .482) . Is there a fix(patch) for this issues ? . How do I proceed on this .

Try to use wait_for_completion_timeout() in place of wait_for_completion(), it is defined in kernel/sched/completion.c.
But the better idea is to trace your code to find, where it blocks.
