Hi,

I have questions about AM335x PRU-ICSS.

My customer are developing PROFINET using AM3357 ZCZ package.

They are connectin two TLK105L to AM335x PRU by MII. And they assigned the pins for PRU as attached file.

They don't know the reason, but only PRU0 MII0 are not working(not communicating).

They are using pr1_mii0_rxd[3:0] signal for mii0_rxd[3:0](Internal signal of PRU-ICSS),

so that they set pin_mux_sel[0] to "0" as AM335x TRM(spruh73l) page.204 Figure 4-3.

Q1. Is there any register to be configured for pin setup?

Q2. As pin assignment of attached file, they configured PRU col and crs signal.

Is the PROFINET communication possible while supporting COL and CRS signals of PRU according to the attached file(pin assignment)?

Q3. I want to know which PRU pins are needed for PROFINET.

Is there any manual or list about pin assignment of PRU for PROFINET?

In the following E2E post, it said
"For PROFINET and EthernetI/P to work on AM335x, you would need to operate it at OPP100."

Is this mean that PROFINET won't work if OPP is OPP120/Turbo/Nitro?

Hello,

The pinmux configuration you shared looks similar to that of ICEv2. Can you cross check this?

OPP100 and above is the right statement here.

I cross check the ICEv2 schematics and the customer's pinmux configuration.
Yes, the pinmux configuration is same as ICEv2.

The customer configured the PINMUX as attached file, and set the pin_mux_sel[0] to "0".
Is there other register settings needed for PROFINET?

I think that should do, Industrial SDK applications also use the same
PRUSSPinMuxConfig(0x0); // PRUSS pinmuxing
