using two SoC TCI6638k2k, boot SoC1 from SoC0, How?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TCI6638K2K

Hi community,

Im working on a custom design board. It has two tci6638k2k SoC, 1 SoC has 4arm+8dsp, so i have 2x(4arm+8dsp).

I want to boot SoC1 from SoC0, using with Ethernet, Srio or Hyperlink. Im searching but didnt find any document related. Please give me a head start, any suggestion would be help,

Thanks.

Srt.

  • Hi Srt.,

What is the  boot mode selected for SoC0? What operating system & application will you be running on SoC0 & 1?  I hope you have refereed boot loader user guides of DSP & ARM. If not please refer them from below links.

    Thank you.

  • Hi Srt,

The tag says uboot, so you're doing ARM boots, correct? Will you be running Linux?

Ethernet is pretty straight forward. If you set up SoC0 with a DHCP/BOOTP server and do an ethernet boot on SoC1, then it will just boot and fetch the boot file from SoC0.

    Regards,
    Mike
