Hi ,

We are using SDK-8 - AM3352 - kernel-3.14

In this link they mentioned saWatchdog Appilcation-binary to change the watchdog timeout value

Q1: Do we need to write any application for the watchdog to change the timeout value. Watchdog configuration is not mentioned in DTS file.

So is there any reference to change, where/how to change the timeout value of watchdog

Sorry for the late reply. I changed the Watchdog Time-margin-default value from 60 sec (which is default) changed to 5 sec(as we require).

i dont know how to test the watchdog in the real scenario, is there any method to test watchdog in real scenario.???

So using cat command we tested : cat > /dev/watchdog ; then 0 ; so the board is Re-started after 5 sec;

Yes, you can design your own real scenario for testing the watchdog.

i normally compile it with NOWAYOUT ,, start the watchdog tool and kill it .. which that it the WD starts up and triggers after its timeout as exspected.
