AM3358 BBB display issue

Genius 3475 points

Hi

I have a customer who is working on the BBB, using the HDMI to output to a custom made LCD from their end customer.

They have some issue on the display as per image below

They can use RaspberryPi model A+ and it can display correctly.

https://www.raspberrypi.org/products/model-a-plus/

How they made it is forcing kernel to display at specific resolution they need, and that is all they have to do.

 • On the BBB they have tried to force to specific resolution, with specific timing as well but still cannot work.

ð  There is something customer not understand, eg. Which part of kernel section customer should looking at?

  • Frame Buffer
  • DRC
  • Or XrandR

Would appreciate if you could point to us where to start looking to trouble shoot.
