MSP432 Power Management

Hi,

I have experience with MSP430F5529 launchpad. I was able to manage power easily with MSP430 Power Management at GUI configuration. I wonder why I can't find that option with MSP432 Launchpad. I am looking for an answer to manage power easily with MSP432.

The MSP432 Power module is not configured through the GUI, it's configured in C code.

Please refer to the following documents for details:

The information provided by Steven Connell seems to be about PWM (pulse width modulation) not power management.

I've had a frustrating time finding anything about power management for MSP432 in TI-RTOS.

The TI-RTOS user guide and the kernel guide have only very basic references to power management.

(Most useful is page123 of the user guide which talks a bit about power management settings via the GUI)

The document you want is this one.

There is also this page which has some trainging videos (which I haven't had the chance to view yet) about power management in TI-RTOS.

It would be helpful if these resources were easier to find. Hopefully linking them here will help.

Thanks very much for pointing others to the PM user’s guide!

The link you post is for an updated version of the document coming in TI-RTOS 2.15 releases.

For TI-RTOS 2.14 releases for MSP43x, there is an earlier version of the document (with coverage only for MSP432 and CC3200). It resides in the 'docs' subdirectory of the install (sprui18.pdf). From the product release notes, click "Documentation Overview", and the link is under "TI-RTOS Drivers Documentation".
