NAND Boot failed

Hi,

I got the "NAND Boot failed" message from our DM365 EVM borard (not TI's EVM).

Who can tell me the reason that this situation occurs?

Assume that u-boot was burned by CCS sucessfully, and the entry point and load adress of application are at 0x81080000.

console prompt:

DM36x initialization passed!

TI UBL Version: 1.50
Booting Catalog Boot Loader
BootMode = NAND
Starting NAND Copy...
NAND Boot failed.
Aborting...

I appreciate your help.

[correct console prompt]

DM36x initialization passed!
TI UBL Version: 1.50
Booting Catalog Boot Loader
BootMode = NAND
Starting NAND Copy...
Valid magicnum, 0xA1ACED66, found in block 0x00000019.
   DONE
Jumping to entry point at 0x81080000.

  • Did you resolve this boot failure?  I am using Spectrum Digital dm365EVM and lately have to hold a finger on the NAND socket to get it booted, with several repowers and resets, and thus assume its a bad connection.  Any solutions to fix this in hardware?  How easy is it to boot from ONE-Nand (which is at least soldered to the board and not sitting in such a bad socket as the NAND-flash, or the SD card?

    Thanks, Jinh T.
