How to enable/disable HDVICP on DM8168

Hi,

We are looking for different options to reduce power consumption. In our use case we are not using HDVICPs. How to disable the HDVICP?

PS: Already someone open this discussion, but no answer. So I am posting it again here.

I am using RDK, there is a dependency between HDVICP and VPSS firmware. So I think it is not possible to shut down HDVICP in boot time. I am looking for options to shut down HDVICP after loading RDK application.

One more option is, reducing the clock to HDVICP. Is there any suggestion?

I have referred the power estimation sheet, shutdown of all 3 HDVICPs approximately reducing the power consumption by 2 W. Is it a valid estimation?

Hi All,

I could able to shut down HDVICP2 and GPX module. I have one more question:

I have referred the power estimation sheet, shutdown of all 3 HDVICPs approximately reducing the power consumption by 2 W. Is it a valid estimation? Because I could save around 0.65W only.
