AM335x GPMC Trace Length

Guru 15520 points

Hi,

I have a question about GPMC trace length.

At customer board, CLK/Data/Address trace length is as follows:

CLK trace length = 21mm

Data trace length = 21mm +/- 2mm

Address trace length = between 27mm to 50mm

Address trace is much longer than other because of pin assignment.

In this case, is it necessary to make all trace length match to the longest address trace(50mm)?

I guess the best solution is to match the length of all trace to the longest length.

But if calculated wiring delay is so small and able to ignore, length matching is not necessary. Is it correct?

If correct, how much delay is able to ignore?

Max GPMC clock is 100MHz(10ns), so is it about 1ns?

best regards, g.f.
