DM8168 mmc issue

U-Boot 2010.06-dirty (Jun 19 2015 - 16:29:36)

DRAM: 1 GiB
MMC: OMAP SD/MMC: 0
Using default environment

Hit any key to stop autoboot: 0
raise: Signal # 8 caught
** Can't read from device 0 **

** Unable to use mmc 0:1 for fatload **
## Starting application at 0x80800000 ...

mmc an not read fat partition.

How to remove this issue ?

Tejas,

Your SD card might be corrupted/damaged. Can you try to re-create the partitions using the approach described in the below doc

Hi,

SD card not detect in linux kernel

mmc0: error -110 whilst initialising SD card error comes every time

what is meaning 110 ?

Are you booting from SD card? Or are you trying hot plug the SD card after the kernel is up?

Hi,

u-boot boot form mmc and kernel from tftp .After kernel boot i am remove sd card & insert back

mmc0: error -110 whilst initialising SD card error comes

What about the root filesystem? Is it from MMC/SD card or from NFS/Ethernet or else?

Hi,
I am using DM8168 custom board. mmc working on 2 boards but other boards mmc can not detect mmc0: error -110 whilst initialising SD card error comes.

I see you are double posting in our Linux forum also. Why?

So this issue is specific to some boards, and this MMC/SD card is working fine on the DM816x TI EVM and some of your custom boards?
