HI,

I'm having issues with the AM335X and the hdmi component, TDA998x :

In the kernel it says :

[ 7.816539] tda998x 0-0070: set_page 000a err -121 ( with different setpage )

And in the oscilloscope, I can see :

Is it my signal that it is not correct ? due to electrical problems ? ( we have cloned the BBB )

Hi Michael,

This forum supports only the TI distributed Linux SDK, currently v3.14.26. Refer to the BBB HDMI driver included there.

Ok, I'm creating a new sdcard with your official SDK.

One question: how can I put my dtb config ? ( we have cloned the beaglebone black with a few change )

Michael,

I have been looking at the I2C screenshot above. What is your I2C slave address? Are TDA998X pins A0_I2C and A1_I2C tied to GND?

Yes, from the schematic, it's tied to the ground !

And the address of the TDA should be #define TDA998X_I2C_SLAVEADDRESS 0x70 ?

I see the I2C master issuing the address 0x70 and either NAK or no reply from slave.

Thx, we just check the power supply of the HDMi, and yes it was not powered ! We just added the missing component and now the hdmi is working.
