Have you set the SPI clock pinmux correct?

Note also the DM816x McSPI linux kernel driver supports only DM816x SPI master mode:

I am using DM816x SPI as master and camera as a slave.

I have set the below pinmux in the board file:

TI816X_MUX(SPI_D1, OMAP_MUX_MODE0),
TI816X_MUX(SPI_D0, OMAP_MUX_MODE0),
TI816X_MUX(SPI_SCLK, OMAP_MUX_MODE0),
TI816X_MUX(SPI_SCS0, OMAP_MUX_MODE0),
TI816X_MUX(SPI_SCS1, OMAP_MUX_MODE0),

And also I want to know, Did TI used this camera as SPI slave in this DM816x platform or any other camera is used as SPI slave in this platform?

No, I can not find this image sensor used with DM816x platform. I found IMX136 CMOS image sensor is used with devices that has ISS (Imaging SubSystem), devices like DM814x, DM36x, DM38x, DM8127. And IPNC RDK is used, as EZSDK does not support ISS. See the below e2e threads:

I can provide you the below pointers:

I don't believe DM816x can accept analog video directly. I believe it will need an external video decoder such as the TVP5151, TVP5146/7 or TVP5160.

Here we are using IMX104 camera board with IMX136 sensor through LVDS chip (SN65LVDS324).

We want to know whether SPI support can be added with camera to this platform?

There is no image sensor support for DM816x EZSDK. If you need this feature to be developed for you (if possible of course) you should contact 3rd party from the lists below:

Hi Pavel,

I want to know is it possible to configure the CPU(DM8168) as SPI slave in the Linux source code.

As you mentioned, the driver will not support CPU as SPI slave. But I have seen in the reference manual, there is a configuration support for both slave and master in SPI.

If I want to know change the same in my code, what are the necessary changes needs to be done with driver and platform code.

Please suggest me any solution to solve this issue.

Hi Salih,

The HW SPI module has master/slave capabilities, but SW driver support only master mode. The necessary changes that need to be done are in the SPI pinmux and SPI driver/registers. See the below pointers for more info:
