pmic with DM8148

Hello,

I understand that smartreflex (AVS) is not supported with DM8148.

I would therefore like to ask what is the usage of PMIC in board (as it comes also with evaluation boards).

I see the printing "regulator:..." in boot. I guess it comes from pmic.

    Ran,

    To ensure proper device operation, a specific power-up and power-down sequence must be followed. Some TI power-supply devices include features that facilitate these power sequencing requirements — for example, TI’s TPS659113 integrated PMIC.

    The PMIC also controls the DVFS power management technique. When you need to switch to higher frequency/OPP, you should request higher voltage from PMIC.
