Is there a way to turn off/on (suspend & resume) ethernet switch / phy ?

Ran,

The ethernet switch PHY is outside the DM814x device, so I would recommend you to check this in your ethernet switch PHY datasheet, if suspend/resume is supported or not.

Hi Pavel,

What about the ethernet switch controller (inside DM8148)? Is it possible to turn it off for power save ?

Ran,

No, EMAC switch power can not be turn off. EMAC switch belongs to the Always ON power domain, and this power domain does not have internal power switch.

For power saving, you can disable EMAC switch clocks. Look at the suspend functionality in the EMAC switch driver.
