EZDVSDK DM816X EVM does not work with BBBlack

Hi everyone ,

I'm working on BBB and using ti-ezsdk_dm816x-evm-5_05_02_00.

software-dl.ti.com/.../index_FDS.html

I followed above links step. and I see BOOT and ROOTFS files . But I start up my BBB I can't see anything on HDMI and no connection USB serial port.

I notice that uEnv.txt there is not in BOOT fle.

Has any idea about it ?

Hi Erkan,

the SDK that you use is completely wrong. You need to download and use the Sitara Processor SDK from here: http://software-dl.ti.com/sitara_linux/esd/processor-sdk/PROCESSOR-SDK-LINUX-AM335X/latest/index_FDS.html

So I will check and try it. So will I use software-dl.ti.com/.../ti-processor-sdk-linux-am335x-evm-01.00.00.00-Linux-x86-Install.bin source link ?

Yes of course. AM335X and DM816X are completely different processors.

Ok . it's now clear for me.
So I was using BBxm ti-dvsdk_dm373_evm . So can I do parallel things in AM3335 ? For example Video encode , decode. is it suitable for this??

You are talking about different processors again. DM37X is part of the DaVinci family, AM335X is part of the Sitara family. You can check AM335X features form the processor datasheet: http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/am3359.pdf
