Doubts over dm6467T EVM

Hi all,

It's my first post here, just joindt the community, thanks in advance for any help!

We have just bought the dm6467t EVM, in a couple of days we'll recieve it. Maybe it's too early to ask, but we have some doubts that we would like to know:

-We want to implement an NTSC/PAL and 720p h.264 MP encoder+decoder, I've read the whole wiki and in some places it says te dm6467 only supports BP, other places it supports MP and HP, so I'm confused. The other question is that everywhere says that it's 720p, we've assumed that if it supports 720p it will also support PAL/NTSC, but are we right?if so, is it easy to configure?

-We would also like to know how much are the licenses for the codecs of h.264, I couldn't find any information.

Xavi,

The DM6467T HW supports encoding of BP/MP/HP profiles of H264. The TI 720p H264 encoder supports BP + some features from HP such as Cabac, Scaling Matrices, 8x8 Transforms. We are not supporting interlace/B-frames in the TI encoder currently though the architecture has support for B frames encoding.

The TI 1080p30 encoder supports only baseline Profile. The TI H264 decoder supports 1080p30 BP/MP/HP decoding, (including Interlace and B-frames decoding).

So if you are looking for 720p Encode + Decode application, you can use the TI codecs. You can download the TI codecs from:
