Hi everybody,
I usually work with MSP430 and CC26x and I know NOTHING about DSP, so please patient with me :D
Hehe, I was checking some information on the TI website which could be useful for our project. We need to design a system comprising a MCU+SD storage card. Then, we need to be able to play some music by connecting to the system via USB :)
I started checking MSP430 possibilities. However, in the "Starting a USB design with MSP430 MCUs" application report, it is stated that "streaming audio using isochronous transfers is not supported". So, I decided to change my direction.
I have found this development kit: C5535 eZdsp USB Stick Development Kit, which seems to do what we want. That is nice. So, my questions are very simple.
- This kit seems to be dated 2012. I do not care about this, but our client does. So, do you recommend me any newer kit from TI? Does this even exists? :) If this kit does what I want but you consider there are simpler solutions, also please let me know.
- Does this kit really fit my needs? Luckily, I read the MSP430 application note before buying the kit so I was able to see it would not fit my needs. So, for this one, is there something I should be aware of?
- I really like CCS. Will I be able to use CCS to program this kit? Are there examples available on CCS or any other IDE?
- Have you started your holidays?
Well, let me know your opinions and have a nice day!
