OMAP3 xloader with HWECC

Hi,

CSST is a good tool to flash to NAND thru USB boot mode. However it uses HW ECC as the ECC format. Flashing x-loader with HW ECC is needed since the BootROM uses that ECC format. However when flashing u-boot with CSST, the out of the box xloader cannot read u-boot from flash, because it expects SW ECC. Does anyone have an x-loader that supports HW ECC? I am currently working on patching in HW ECC into the x-loader.

Hi,

today I completed a patch for x-loader to support HW ECC and it was tested preliminarily at a customer successfully. This was for PSP2.01.03.11. I will post the patch shortly.

Hi,

here is preliminary patch that i developed to add HW ECC support to the PSP2.01.03.11 x-loader. The reason this was done, is to use CSST based flashing, which again uses HW ECC format. When CSST flashes u-boot with HW ECC, the x-loader is now able to read u-boot. Maybe down the road this could be integrated into a future PSP release.
