  • Hi,

Moving your post to right forum to be better answered.

    Thanks & regards,

  • Hello Liyen,

Take a look on the OMAP Graphics wiki wiki omappedia.org/.../Graphics

After that wiki you can download graphics packages from this link - launchpad.net/.../release

    wiki.ubuntu.com/.../Graphics

Take a detail look on the similar thread - e2e.ti.com/.../744738

    Best regards,
    Yanko
  • Hi Yanko,

Thank you very much for suggestions, I did all and found out at the end, I don't need SDK but the DDK,
because I need to deal with SGX hw directly instead thru OpenGL, can you instruct me how to obtain a
copy of SGX DDK, too? much appreciated

  • Hello Liyen,

About SGX DDK see the following e2e thread - e2e.ti.com/.../355227

You can obtain SGX DDK by some links in this post - e2e.ti.com/.../190009

However SGX DDK requires NDA agreement with TI. Please contact your FAE to provide you information about SGX DDK package.
You can use Ubuntu release available at omappedia.org/.../Ubuntu_Pre-Built_Binaries

    Best regards,
    Yanko
  • Hello Yanko,

Thank you so much for reply, we are working on some open platform, Panda board, as mentioned

before, we don't have specific TI re-sellers to work with yet, I tried to contact AVnet at local area but they

don't seem fully understood the situation, how should we proceed in this case? and is there way to

access the DDK source prior to NDA signing? is this package free of charge since we don't want

developing further features of SGX core in OMAP, instead we need going much low level access the

SGX other than from OpenGL, much appreciated

  • Hello Liyen,

I forward your questions to OMAP manager staff. They will take a solution for your problem with SGX DDK.

Do you know an estimated number of your device production in the future?

    Best regards,
    Yanko
  • Hello Yanko,

So many thanks for the endeavors, in regards to estimated quantity, we are at the 1st time evaluate and develop

on OMAP platform, even though there has been proven track records the successful mobile designs based upon

the TI platform, without substantial prior experience and hand-on knowledge, we chose an open community

backed up platform to begin with, by far, the sluggish dual-view 3D rendering has been the biggest roadblock to

our development, that is exactly why we escalated the issue to you and hopefully seek your assistance and solution,

we understood that, potential reason causing such performance bottleneck came from 'Off-Screen' rendering by mesa,

at which cpu was relied upon to carry the task out at default, this is the main reason that we started to look at the low

level solution hope to resolve this issue via hardware directly, at last, without knowing how to approach and resolve

this roadblock we simply can't offer any meaningful estimation of quantity at this moment, based upon our special

project situation, highly appreciated for being understanding this and provding valuable assistance

  • Hello Liyen,

I discussed your question with our manager staff. You must contact TI's partner company for providing you SGX DDK packets.
    Please contact:
    globallogic.com or
    adeneo-embedded.us

Would it be possible to send me an e-mail to give you more information?

    Best regards,
    Yanko
